To get started, upload a DNA file onto your page using the attachment feature or use the Snap G ene desktop integration and save your file directly to your notebook.Ģ. This seamless integration will work right out of the box without requiring users to perform any additional actions.ġ. LabArchives also integrates with SnapGene Server allowing users to view a preview of their files. On the “Open from LabArchives Window,” navigate to the file that you would like open and click “Open.” Then you will see this message that your file has been saved.Īfter connecting SnapGene to your LabArchives Account, you can open a SnapGene file saved in LabArchives in the “File” Menu on the top left by selecting “Open file from LabArchives.” On the “Save to LabArchives Window” Select a page in your notebook and click “Save.” If you login to LabArchives on another server, select that server on the “Server” field.Īfter connecting SnapGene to your LabArchives Account, you can open or save a file to LabArchives in the “File” Menu on the top left. For more information on generating password tokens click here. You will be prompted to login to LabArchives. If you log in using a Single Sign-On yo u will need to create a password token. Then click “Edit” on the top left and select “Preferences.” On the “Files” tab, select “Enable file exchange with LabArchives.” How to connect Snap G ene to your LabArchives Account Additionally, when a SnapGene file is opened from within your Notebook, it may be re-saved into the same page from where it resides, preserving both versions of the file. SnapGene (Version 4.2 and higher) has been integrated with LabArchives to enable users to directly export files from SnapGene into their LabArchives Notebook.
